Dear SELF: Appreciate you. 6/10/16

To often I find myself coming down harshly on myself mentally.............

Sometimes physically as well. I'm so consumed with whats next that I dont even stop  to smell the roses. I always told myself that no matter how far I went in life I did not want to get so caught up in work that I forget to live, release my dreads from the tight ponytail, and just enjoy the moment.  

I ask myself how did I get to this point of feeling overwhelmed instead of euphoria? I have experienced great success in my career as not only just a fashion designer but as a entrepreneur and have received so much recognition for my accomplishments but i neglect to appreciate them myself. So I've decided to dedicate this portion of my blog as an open letter to express myself to myself because sometimes we talk to everyone but ourselves:

Dear Self,
Hey Qaysean I just want you to know that i am so proud of you, I remember when you were the kid who kept quiet in fear of getting into unwanted encounters. You were the kid that everyone loved but you couldn't find that amount of love to pour back into yourself. I know first hand of what you do on a daily basis to keep your dream alive and i know some days you feel like you can do better not realizing you are doing an amazing job pushing your brand, and being that great support system to those who may need it. Boy and when adversity arises I can feel the anxiety wash over you and your wheels of the mind starts to turn looking for a solution. I just want to let you know Qaysean that you are truly uniquely built, you are extremely strong and might i add very talented. What I love about you is your strong determination for succeeding and not just your success but to ensure the chance for others to grow with you. I Appreciate you and CONGRATULATIONS GRADUATE OF 2016!!!! You are awesome and I love you somuch. Keep striving, keep believing, and keep faith.
